Knowing your Ovulation Period is the Best Way to Conceive

Understanding our body is the best way for us to know when we are ovulating. This are the most natural way for women to conceive especially for those who are trying to get pregnant for a while.

Knowing when a woman will ovulate is a learning process. Some find it simple because they are already familiar with their bodily changes. But some are having a hard time predicting it.

The following are some procedures that can be helpful to know when you are ovulating:

1. Knowing your menstrual period. Woman normally ovulates 14 days before the start of their period. A large number of women usually have a 28 day cycle menstrual period. So 14 days after the start of your last period is the ideal time to try to conceive.

2. Charting your cervical mucus. During ovulation your cervical mucus appears transparent and sticky.

3. Charting your basal body temperature. Before ovulation, the BBT of a woman usually increases.

The best time to conceive is before and during ovulation to ensure the success of the sperm to reach a healthy egg. So know how to predict your ovulation period and you’re closer to becoming pregnant.
